The NCTS has agreements with several international partner institutions through which it hopes to strengthen and advance research in mathematical sciences in Taiwan. These agreements include exchange programs at the level of graduate students, postdocs and also NCTS affiliated faculty members in Taiwan. Call for applications to join these exchange programs are usually announced on a regular basis with priority given to female and junior researchers.

The Berlin Mathematical School (BMS) is a joint graduate school of the mathematics department of three major universities in Berlin: Technical University Berlin, Humboldt University and Free University of Berlin. The NCTS and BMS have signed an agreement that includes a student exchange program.

Founded in 1992, the Fields Institute, located on campus of the University of Toronto, is now a renowned institute known for organizing many short and long-term scientific events that strengthen international collaboration, innovation, and learning in mathematics across a broad range of disciplines. The NCTS and Fields have an agreement of scientific collaboration that among others include exchange of graduate students, junior and senior researchers associated with either institutions.

The mission of the Global Scientific Information and Computing Center (GSICC) to support research and education by making full use of cutting-edge information technology, and to promote international joint research using information technology as a medium. GSICC is a Joint Usage/Research Center for Interdisciplinary Large-scale Information Infrastructure. The NCTS and GSICC agree to pursue joint research activities and to exchange of scholars for the benefit of both parties.

The Information Technology Center (ITC) of Nagoya University is a Joint Usage/Research Center by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan for Interdisciplinary Large-scale Information Infrastructures and contributes to the further advancement of academic/research infrastructure. The NCTS and ICT agree to jointly pursue research and collaboration on fundamental academic research related to high performance computing, computational science and engineering and data science.

The Information Technology Center (ICT) of the University of Tokyo acts as the core institute of the Joint Usage/Research Center for Interdisciplinary Large-scale Information Infrastructure that forms a network of eight academic centers that contribute massive computing resources extensively to Japan and the world. It has been building g cutting-edge computer systems for research. The NCTS and ICT agree to jointly pursue research and collaboration on fundamental academic research related to high performance computing, computational science and engineering and data science.

The Korean Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) was established in 1996 with the goal of promoting excellence in research in basic sciences. The NCTS and KIAS have been global partners since 2000 aiming at facilitating scientific collaboration and exchange of researchers between the partner institutions.

The Osaka City University Advanced Mathematical Institute (OCAMI) has been a Joint Usage/Research Center on Mathematics and Theoretical Physics with research directions in algebra, geometry, analysis, mathematical physics and astrophysics since 2019. The NCTS and OCAMI agree to pursue joint scientific activities and promote exchange of faculty members and students.

The Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS) is a mathematical institute created in 1996 with the aim of promoting research in all areas of the mathematical sciences. Its members consist of several universities in Western Canada and Northwestern United States. Besides scientific events, it also hosts visiting students and faculty members. The NCTS and PIMS have agreement that promotes exchange of visitors, including students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty members affiliated with either institute.

The Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) is one of the leading universities is Asia specializing in science and technology. The POSTECH Mathematics Institute (PMI) was established in 2007 with the mission to enhance collaborative researches in mathematical sciences. The PMI and NCTS have an MOU that among others agree to jointly promote and organize scientific activities.
The joint NCTS-PMI workshop has been held annually for years.

The Research Institute of Mathematical Sciences (RIMS) is widely regarded as one of the leading research institutes. The NCTS and RIMS have an agreement aimed at promoting research exchange at the levels of Ph.D. students, postdoctoral fellows and faculty members associated with either institution.

The mission of RIKEN Interdisciplinary Theoretical and Mathematical Sciences Program (iTHEMS) is the utilization and implementation of modern mathematics to actively promote cross-disciplinary research. It brings together pure and applied mathematicians, in addition to researchers involved in other fields of natural science. The NCTS and iTHEMS have agreement to jointly pursue research activities and encourages scientific exchange, especially that of Ph.D. students.

The Simons Laufer Mathematical Sciences Institute (SLMath), formerly Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI), is a landmark in international collaborative mathematical research with long history and has inspired the creation of many other research institutions around the world. It organizes many international conferences and workshops, along with thematic programs every year. The SLMath also (co-)organizes many international summer schools of the highest caliber annually. The NCTS, as one of the main sponsoring institutions, can send a number of students every year to attend these summer schools. The NCTS and SLMath have also jointly organized such summer schools in the past.
