On the Brauer Group of a Surface over a Finite Field

Abstract:
Let X be a projective smooth surface over a finite field. Let Br(X) be its Brauer group. If it is finite, then its order is always a perfect square. I will present two proofs of this result, one by Geisser and the other by Liu, Lorenzini and Raynaud.
