Abstract:

In Riemannian geometry, there are topological obstructions for the existence of metrics with positive scalar curvature. This made a lot of people to study the structure of manifolds with positive scalar curvature. In contrast with this, in CR geometry, there seems to be less works about this related topic. In this talk, we will focus on the construction of a CR manifold with positive Webster curvature by means of connected sum.
