Projective Kähler Manifolds with Semi-negative Curvature, the Fundamental Group and Rational Curves

Abstract:
I will explore various classical notions of curvature and the influence of their semi-negativity on the geometry of projective Kähler manifolds. The role of the Ricci curvature and holomorphic sectional curvature will be emphasized. The first part will be mostly differential geometric while the second will involve cohomological and algebraic methods and results.
