(1) Aim and Scope:

The Spring probability workshop is an annual meeting of probabilists in Taiwan. Every year, the organizing committee would recruit world-wide active researchers to distribute talks on their recent works and share their research experiences with young probabilists. The aim of this workshop is to create a panel of communications among the domestic and international probabilists and to enhance the international visibility of Taiwan probability group.

 

(2)Structure and Preparation:

This year, the organizing committee invites Dominique Bakry, Michel Ledoux and Laurent Saloff-Coste as keynote speakers. They work majorly on analysis, probability and geometry, while the other invited speakers have related research interests. Particularly, we invite Takashi Kumagai to join the organizing committee for the first time and, with his aid, we successfully recruit several active Japanese researches to attend this workshop. Besides, as suggested by other committees, we have well-reputed speakers from Mainland China and Korea and young Taiwanese probabilists, who conduct excellent researches and currently hold positions in the US. The subjects can be miscellaneous but the ingredients must be the frontier materials. Our perspective of this workshop is to continuously promote the Taiwan probability group and to attract more domestic researchers and students to work on probability and related topics.
