High-order approaches for geometric invariants over discrete surfaces
Sheng-Gwo Chen (National Chiayi University)

Gaussian and mean curvatures are two important geometric invariants of curved surfaces. In this talk, we shall combine the local tangential lifting method with the configuration equation to develop a new effective and convergent generalized finite difference method to approximate Gaussian and mean curvatures over discrete surfaces. The convergence rates of our algorithms of Gaussian and mean curvatures are high-order accuracy.
