On the Quasiconvergence Property of Solutions of Semilinear Parabolic Equations on the Real Line

Abstract
In this talk, based on a joint project with Antoine Pauthier, we examine the large-time behavior of bounded solutions of reaction-diffusion equations on the real line. We give sufficient conditions on the initial data which guarantee that the corresponding solution is quasiconvergent, that is, all its locally uniform limit profiles as time approaches infinity are steady states. By examining examples of solutions that are not quasiconvergent, we also show that our results are nearly optimal for the initial data that have finite limits at
