A Reilly's type formula on static manifolds and its applications
Ye-Kai Wang (National Cheng Kung University)

Abstract:

Since it's discovery in the 70's, Reilly's formula has become an indispensable tool in studying the boundary effects of manifolds with nonnegative Ricci curvature. In this talk, we present a new Reilly's formula by Junfang Li and Chao Xia on static manifolds (arxiv 1603.02201) and their new proof of a Heintze-Karcher type inequality (originally due to Brendle). I will also discuss its application in the study of Wang-Yau quasilocal mass with static reference (joint with Po-Ning Chen, Mu-Tao Wang, and Shing-Tung Yau).
