In this talk, I will introduce some mathematical models arising in Fluid dynamics, Astrophysics, Cosmology and Bio-science. Through the symmetry of space-times, those models can be expressed as hyperbolic systems of balance laws. The global existence of weak solutions to those systems is established by the generalized Glimm schemes, which will be given in this talk.
