【Speaker Profile】
Professor Tsai is a highly regarded researcher who earned his B.Sc. from the National Taiwan University in 1991 and later pursued his Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota. After completing his doctorate in 1998, he held positions at New York University and the Institute for Advanced Study before joining the University of British Columbia in 2002. His expertise lies in the analysis of fluid and dispersive partial differential equations, focusing on areas like regularity problems, self-similar solutions, and Navier-Stokes equations. He has also conducted research on the behavior of multi-solitons and energy critical Schrödinger maps.
