2023-2024 Research in Pairs
The goal of the Research in Pairs Program at the National Center for Theoretical Sciences (NCTS) is to bring together outstanding scholars with similar research interest to the NCTS to jointly conduct cutting-edge research. A Research Pair consists of 2-4 researchers of different affiliations. Each member in a pair is expected to spend 2-4 weeks at the NCTS for research collaborations, and will be supported as a visiting scholar by the NCTS.
Description
Every mathematician pursuing academic excellence is welcome to apply. Priority will be given to applicants in the following areas:
•Number Theory and Representation Theory
•Algebraic Geometry
•Differential Geometry and Geometric Analysis
•Differential Equations and Stochastic Analysis
•Scientific Computing
•Interdisciplinary Studies
Required Documents

•A formal cover letter
•A detail proposal of the project (not exceed 10 pages)
a. Overview, background, and known partial results of the proposed project
b. Planned research activities of the participants before, during, and after their stay at the Center
c. Expected outcome and results of the proposed project
d. Past research collaborations among the participants
•Curriculum Vitae of all the participants
Applications should be submitted well in advance of the proposed visit (preferably at least 4 months).
