2024 NCTS International Exchange Program
The National Center for Theoretical Sciences (hereafter referred to as NCTS) provides the most important platform for collaboration and interaction between Taiwanese and international mathematicians. One of the missions of the NCTS, since its foundation, aims to facilitate scholarly exchange in mathematical sciences and cultivation of mathematical talents. With this in mind the NCTS has signed agreements with several partner institutions that give selected mathematicians affiliated with Taiwanese institutions the possibility to visit these institutions for a duration of 1-3 months for the purpose of international academic exchange. We are pleased to accept applications to these exchange programs.
Exchange program partners include:
•PIMS(Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences), Canada
•RIMS (Research Institute for Mathematical Sciences), Japan
•KIAS (Korea Institute for Advanced Study), Korea
•Fields (The Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences), Canada
•BMS (Berlin Mathematical School), Germany

Although all applications are welcome priority will be given to junior mathematicians, e.g., assistant professors, postdoctoral fellows, and Ph.D. students.

•Invitation Letter from Host Institute (if available)
•Research Proposal (no more than 2 pages), information including:
1. Potential Host or Collaborator
2. Institute of Visit
3. Proposed Period of Stay
When to apply?
•Applications should be sent preferably 4 months prior to the starting date of exchange
