The NCTS Mathematics Division warmly congratulates Professor Wen-Ching Winnie Li on her election as an Academician of Academia Sinica at the 35th Convocation.
Professor Li is a distinguished number theorist whose research has made profound contributions to modular forms, coding theory, and spectral graph theory. In particular, she applied her research works in automorphic forms to the construction of highly efficient communication networks known as Ramanujan graphs and has been one of the leading contributors to the arithmetic of noncongruence modular forms.
In addition to her remarkable research achievements, Professor Li served as Director of the NCTS Mathematics Division from 2009 to 2014. Through her visionary leadership, she helped establish NCTS as the leading mathematical center in Taiwan and a renowned international center for mathematical research. We are deeply grateful for Professor Li's dedication and service to the mathematical community.
This distinguished honor recognizes not only her outstanding contributions to mathematics but also her lasting impact on the development of the mathematical sciences in Taiwan. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Professor Li on this recognition and wish her continued success in all her future endeavors.
