Ryo Yamagishi is a postdoctoral fellow at the National Center for Theoretical Sciences (NCTS). His mentor is Professor Hsueh-Yung Lin.
Research area: Algebraic Geometry
Before joining NCTS, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe in Japan. I received my PhD in March 2018 from Kyoto University.
Brief introduction: My research interest focuses on understanding singularities of algebraic varieties via their nice desingularizations. I'm also interested in its application to moduli theory and construction of holomorphic symplectic manifolds.
