Ulrich Menne（孟悟理）is Professor and Yushan Young Fellow at the National Taiwan Normal University.  Previously, he held an Interim Professorship for Applied Mathematics at the University of Leipzig, led a research group on Geometric Measure Theory at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics, and held a postdoctoral position at the ETH Zurich.  He obtained his Ph.D. under the supervision of Reiner Schätzle and Tom Ilmanen at the University Tübingen.

His research pertains to the field of calculus of variations and to elliptic partial differential equations. The common theme of his contributions is geometric measure theory- the natural language for many geometric variational problems.

孟悟理，國立臺灣師範大學教授暨玉山青年學者。曾在德國萊比錫大學擔任應用數學臨時教授、在馬克斯·普朗克引力物理研究所領導幾何測度論研究小組，並在瑞士蘇黎世聯邦理工學院擔任博士後職位。他在Reiner Schätzle教授和Tom Ilmanen 教授的指導下取得了德國圖賓根大學博士學位。

他的研究涉及變分法和橢圓型偏微分方程領域。他所貢獻的共同主題為幾何測度論- 許多幾何變分問題的自然語言。
