Analysis and Probability

Program Committee:

Lung-Chi Chen (NCCU), Gi-Ren Liu (NCKU), Chun-Yen Shen (NTU, committee chair), Daniel Spector (NTNU)

Description of program:

The Analysis and Probability Program at the NCTS brings together researchers working at the interface of harmonic analysis, stochastic processes, and random structures. The program focuses on both fundamental theory and emerging applications across mathematics, physics, and data science. Current research directions include non-commutative probability and random matrix theory, stochastic growth models such as periodic KPZ, time–frequency analysis of random signals, the interplay between harmonic analysis and geometric measure theory, and probabilistic and extremal methods in combinatorics and random graphs. The program aims to build a vibrant environment that promotes collaboration, supports young researchers, and advances Taiwan’s position in these rapidly developing areas.
