Contact Non-squeezability
Sheng-Fu Chiu (NCTS)

Abstract:

We will address a contact analog of Gromov's non-squeezing problem in the contact pre-quantization space.
Here the pre-quantization space is a product of an even-dimensional Euclidean space and a circle of fixed length,
endowed with the standard contact structure. In contrast to the symplectic scenario, the contact non-squeezability is
only sensitive to the size above the "quantum scale" determined by the circle.
