In this talk we show a fundamental theorem that enables us to transfer integral and dierential properties freely between physical and computational domains. We elucidate the roles played by the periodic wave and the Bloch wave in relation to the divergence and modied divergence free condition. As a consequence, a Petrov-Galerkin method can be created with implicitly build-in divergence free condition.
