Coassociative Fibration and G2 Structure
Chung-Jun Tsai (National Taiwan University)

Abstract:

Coassociative fibrations were first studied by Gukov-Yau-Zaslow, and then Baraglia.  More recently, Donaldson (arXiv:1603.08391) proposed a program to study G2 structures by the adiabatic limit of coassociative fibrations.  In this talk, we will explain the G2 equation in terms of coassociative fibrations.  If time permits, we will explain the adiabatic limit of the equation, and how the maximal submanifold equation arises.
