Iterative Methods on Solving Linear Systems
Yung-Ta Li (Fu-Jen Catholic University)

Abstract:

In this talk, we discuss some classic iterative methods including Jacobi, Gauss-Seidel, Richardson, Successive Over-Relaxation (SOR) and conjugate gradient (CG) methods. We emphasize on bringing an intuitive understanding of how the algorithms are designed and why they work with some geometric interpretations.
