Numerical Issue on Interior Transmission Eigenvalues for the Elastic Waves

Abstract:
Recently, people are interested in the interior transmission eigenvalues problem (ITEP), they develop many methods in the study of direct and inverse scattering problems for many kinds of waves. We here study the ITEP for the elastic waves. According to the finite element method (FEM), we can discrete ITEP for the elastic waves and consider a general eigenvalue problem (GEP). We aim to propose an efficient numerical algorithm to compute the eigenvalues of GEP. In this talk, we briefly introduce our numerical work on ITEP for elastic waves.
