Deformations of p-divisible Groups with Additional Structure (I)
Chao Zhang (Academia Sinica)

Abstract:

In his study of comparison between crystalline and p-adic etale cohomology in the early 90s, Faltings explained, as an application of his theory, a certain deformation of p-divisible groups with crystalline tensors. This deformation theory is then used by Vasiu and Kisin to study good reductions of Shimura varieties. Unfortunately, no deformation functor is known for this deformation theory. I will explain some observations and results towards this direction, based on the theory of Dieudonne displays.
