Interplay between Analysis and Combinatorics: Distance, Tiling, and Exponential Basis
Bochen Liu (NCTS)

Abstract:

This is an introductory talk on some problems inspired by both analysis and combinatorics. This interplay could be: analogous problems in discrete/continuous ambient spaces, analytic/combinatorial properties of a single object, or ideas/estimates from one that help on the other. Examples include distance sets, (multiple) tiling by translations, and existence of exponential basis/frames.
