Symplectic Topology and Hamiltonian Dynamics
Yoshihiro Sugimoto (NCTS)
Abstract:
A Hamiltonian diffeomorphism is a special class of diffeomorphism on a symplectic manifold. The set of Hamiltonian diffeomorphisms forms a subgroup of the diffeomorphism group and it is called Hamiltonian diffeomorphism group. In this talk, I will explain applications of Floer theory to the topology of Hamiltonian diffeomorphism groups.
