Characterization of Periodic Solutions in Delay Equations with Monotone Feedback and Even-odd Symmetry

Abstract:
It is well known that periodic solutions are one of the key ingredients in the study of scalar delay equations with monotone feedback. However, since the dynamical system that they generate is infinite dimensional, finding periodic solutions is a hard problem. In the talk I will present some new results, which use additional symmetry to reduce the original problem to the study of a time map in a planar ODE.
