In this series of talks (two talks). We shall follow the Chapter 1 of the book of Robert Glassey:The Cauchy problem in kinetic theory. We start with basic introduction of the collision operator for Boltzmann equation and derive important properties. In particular, we will demonstrate the proof of the famous H-theorem.
