On Mathematical Analysis of Synchronization for Forced Kuramoto Oscillators
Shih-Hsin Chen (NCTS)

Abstract:

Synchronization phenomena are regarded as the universal features in real world. The Kuramoto model is often used to demonstrate such synchronization and applied in extensive disciplines including physics, power systems, power networks, and biology. In this talk, I will introduce the first order forced Kuramoto model. In the setting of this model, each oscillator is interacted by the rest oscillators with the symmetric coupling strength and is affected by the external sine forcing. Then I will present the theoretical results for global convergence, phase synchronization, and frequency synchronization. Some future works will be discussed in this talk as well. This is joint work with Prof. Chun-Hsiung Hsia, Prof. Chia-Chi Chu, and Prof. Ming-Cheng Shiue.
