On Drinfeld Modules, Drinfeld Modular Forms and Multiple Zeta Values in Positive Characteristic
Oguz Gezmis (Heidelberg University)

Abstract:

In 1974, Drinfeld introduced “elliptic modules” -which are now called Drinfeld modules- serving as one of the tools for his solution to the Langlands conjectures for GL2 in the global function field case. In this talk, we discuss some properties of  L-functions attached to them as well as Drinfeld modular forms which were firstly defined and studied by David Goss in his PhD thesis. Moreover, we introduce multiple zeta values in the positive characteristic setting and survey several fundamental results in this direction whose analogous statements for multiple zeta values of Euler are still unknown.
