Abstract:
I'll talk about some recent results on the index of rotationally symmetric self-shrinkers.
This will be an informal discussion and we will raise some open questions and their respective difficulties.
If time permits we may also discuss some relations between index estimates and existence (or non-existence) of new rotationally symmetric self-shrinkers.
