This will be a series of talks on algebraic geometry in solving integrable hierarchy. In the first talk, I will introduce the category of differential rings and define the algebra of pseudo-differential operators associated with a differential ring. Later, I will also define the K.d.V. or K.P. hierarchies over arbitrary differential rings (not only over the ring of formal power series).
