Traces of Convolution Categories

Abstract
We will introduce the notion of traces or Hochschild homology of monoidal categories. We will discuss functoriality of traces, a trace-valued character map, and compatibility of iterated traces. Finally, we will discuss the example of convolution categories and the role traces play in various proposed (geometric) local Langlands conjectures.
