On Explicit Birational Geometry of Higher Dimensional Varieties

Abstract
In this seminar, I will talk about some new progress on estimating the lower bound of canonical volumes and the upper bound of canonical stability indices for higher dimensional varieties of general type. I will mainly introduce the construction of examples with small volumes and a general machinery of studying the canonical stability index.
