Singular Limit of a Three-component Lotka-Volterra Competition System
Harunori Monobe (Osaka Metropolitan University)

Abstract

In recent years, the singular limit of Lotka-Volterra competition system has been studied. Mimura, Yamada and Yotsutani (1985) considered the two-component system such that the competition rates are very strong, and they expected that the system approaches the Stefan problem with the logistic reaction terms. Later, Dancer, Hilhorst, Mimura and Peletier (1999) gave the rigorous proof and the system converges to a Stefan-like problem with the latent heat zero condition. In this talk, we study a three-component system and show that the system converges to a two-phase Stefan-like problem. Finally we consider some applications to Fisher-Stefan problem proposed by Du-Lin (2010), Wu-Guo (2012). This is a joint work with H. Izuhara and C.-H. Wu.
