Sharp Bound on the Abelian Automorphism Groups of Surfaces of General Type

Abstract
We prove that the order of any abelian (resp. cyclic) automorphism group of a smooth complex projective of general type is bounded from above by 
(resp. 
) provided that its geometric genus 
. The upper bounds can be both reached by infinitely many examples whose geometric genera can be arbitrarily large. This is a joint work with Sheng-Li Tan.
