A Brief Introduction to Neural Field Models

Abstract
Neural field models (NFMs) appears in the early 1970s. It can be seen as a fundamental approach to modeling the nonlinear dynamical behavior of a large number of neurons. In this talk, we will briefly introduce
some NFMs, review spatiotemporal patterns, and present some mathematical results. This talk is based on joint work with Chiu-Yen Kao and Chih-Wen Shih.
