An Introduction to Random Matrix and Free Probability (II)

Abstract
In this talk, I will speak about the sum of two Hermitian matrices, one of which is conjugated by a Haar-distributed unitary random matrix. I will introduce a local limit theorem and an outlier result of this random matrix model. I will briefly mention how free probability is involved in these problems. Then I will move on to a non-Hermitian random matrix model -- the Ginibre ensemble. If time permits, I will talk about the single ring theorem about another (but related) non-Hermitian random matrix model.
