Let be the 3D-rotation group equipped with the real-manifold topology and the normalized Haar measure . An old problem  in multiplicative combinatorics asks whether  for open with sufficiently small measure. This question was described in Ben Green’s list of open problems, where it was also attributed to discussion with Emmanuel Breuillard.  In this talk, I will discuss recent joint work with Yifan Jing and Ruixiang Zhang where we combine techniques from model theory, probability theory, and harmonic analysis to positively answer the above question.
