Generic Properties of Traveling Fronts and Standing Pulses in Gradient Parabolic Systems
Romain Joly (Université Grenoble Alpes)

Abstract
We consider a system of parabolic PDEs on the real line

where and has values in . In the systems framework, the classical comparison principle disappears, but the special nonlinearity preserves a formal gradient structure. This gradient structure has been used to study existence and stability of traveling fronts and standing pulses in parabolic systems.

In this talk, we will show that some important qualitative features of traveling fronts and standing pulses hold for almost all potential . These properties are related to dynamical properties of some ODEs that are also interesting by themself.

This is a joint work with Emmanuel Risler.
