A Finite Difference Method for a Linear Parabolic Interface Problem with Nonlinear Interface Conditions

Abstract
We introduce a finite difference method to solve a parabolic interface problem which has a nonhomogeneous flux jump condition and a nonlinear jump condition in the primary variable, The solution is discontinuous and it is approximated by a sequence of linear problems with linear jumps. Rigorous convergence results are obtained and numerical experiments confirm the theory.
