Boundary Conditions Arising from the Diffusion Laws
Seungmin Kang (NCTS)

Abstract
We propose a new perspective that diffusion laws may inherently select boundary conditions. By extending the domain with a boundary into the larger space and setting a small diffusivity outside the domain, we demonstrate that the boundary condition becomes Neumann or Dirichlet as tends to zero. This selection depends on the choice of the heterogeneous diffusion law.
