Drinfeld Modular Polynomial and Modular Heights
Zhenlin Ran (University of Hong Kong)

Abstract
As in the classical case, Drinfeld modular polynomial which has integral coefficients gives a trivial model for the corresponding modular curve. In this talk, I will present an explicit and asymptotically optimal result on estimating the size of the coefficients of Drinfeld modular polynomials. As the application of our method, I will also present results on relating the Weil (resp. Taguchi) height of a given Drinfeld module with that of the Hecke points. If time permit, I will demonstrate how Farey sequence and Bruhat-Tits trees can help us to yield such an explicit and asymptotically optimal estimate on the coefficients. This is joint work with Florian Breuer and Fabien Pazuki.
