On the Hermitian K-Theory of Grassmannians
Sunny Sood (University of Warwick)

Abstract
Hermitian K-Theory, which may be thought of as the K-Theory of quadratic forms, has been the subject of significant attention over recent years. The ultimate goal of the subject is to prove computations so that our understanding of various areas of mathematics deepens. In this spirit, my co-author and I were motivated to compute the Hermitian K-Theory of Grassmannians. After giving a (very) brief introduction to K-Theory and Hermitian K-Theory, I will proceed to describe our computation and its proof. Our computation uses Kapranov's full exceptional collection on the Bounded Derived Category of the Grassmannian described in terms of Schur functors, so we will see plenty of mathematics involving these objects. This is all joint work with Chunkai Xu.
