Derivation of the Amplitude Equations and Pattern Transitions
I-Yun Cheng (National University of Kaohsiung)

Abstract
In this talk, we focus on the weakly nonlinear analysis near the Turing bifurcation point. Through multiple-scale expansion, the amplitude equations of the rumor propagation system are derived. We explore how these equations predict various stable and unstable spatial structures such as stripe, hexagon, and mixed patterns. The control parameter plays a key role in determining bistable regions and transitions between different pattern types. This analytical approach provides deep insight into the nonlinear dynamics underlying Turing pattern formation in socio-spatial models.
