Blow-up Solutions in Complex Time
Hannes Stuke (juna.ai)

Abstract:
In my talk I will give an introduction into parabolic differential equations and blow-up in complex time. Blow-up denotes the phenomenon, when solutions diverge to infinity. By considering complex time we try to establish a connection between two opposed worlds: on the one hand bounded solutions, in particular equilibria and heteroclinic orbits and on the other hand blow-up in equations with entire nonlinearities.

The established relationship is a first step to proving rigorously the existence of (complex time) blow-up solutions using computer assisted proofs.
