Abstract:

Singularity theory is a broad topic which can be approached in numerous ways. In this talk, we will focus on isolated complex hypersurface singularities and the study of their local properties via Milnor fibrations. Additionally, we will touch upon certain global aspects of the geometry of singular hypersurfaces, such as the possible number of singularities on them.
