Recent Progress in Rigidity of Free Boundary Minimal Hypersurfaces
Yuan Shyong Ooi (NCTS)

Abstract: Mazet and Mendes recently proved that stable free boundary minimal hypersurfaces exterior to the unit ball in  with parallel regular ends are necessarily catenoidal i.e. -symmetry. This talk will explore the core mathematical machinery driving this rigidity result. Specifically, we will detail how they analyze the asymptotic behavior of positive Jacobi functions on the regular ends. I will then conclude by discussing ongoing joint work with Keomkyo Seo, where we aim to relax this regular ends assumption.
