Abstract: The Noether inequality $Vol(X)\ge \frac{4}{3}{p}_g(X)-\frac{10}{3}$ has been established for all threefolds of general type by Chen-Chen-Jiang and Chen-Hu-Jiang. In this talk, we will present an optimal Noether inequality for threefolds with Kodaira dimension two: $Ivol(X)\ge \frac{3}{4}{p}_g(X)-\frac{5}{4}$
