Boundedness of Global Solutions of Superlinear Heat Equations
Toru Kan (Osaka Metropolitan University)

Abstract: We consider superlinear heat equations with the Dirichlet boundary condition on a ball. We show that any nonnegative global radially symmetric solution is uniformly bounded, if the space dimension is greater than 9 and an exponent representing the growth rate of a nonlinear term is between the Sobolev exponent and the Joseph-Lundgren exponent. When the space dimension is greater than 2 and smaller than 10, the same is true for nonlinear terms growing extremely faster than the exponential function. This is joint work with Yohei Fujishima (Shizuoka University).
