Abstract

In this talk, I will mainly explain what $p$-adic $L$-functions are and why they are interesting, aiming primarily at a non-expert audience. In the final part, I will briefly introduce my recent joint work with Tadashi Ochiai on the construction of two-variable $p$-adic Rankin–Selberg $L$-functions.
