Existence of Radially Symmetric Stationary Solutions for Viscous and Heat-Conductive Ideal Gas
Itsuko Hashimoto (Osaka University)

Abstract

In this talk, I will discuss the existence of radially symmetric stationary solutions for a compressible viscous and heat-conductive polytropic ideal fluid in the unbounded exterior domain of a sphere in R n ( n 3 ) , where the boundary and far-field conditions are prescribed. We show the unique existence of stationary solutions for both inflow and outflow problems in a suitably small neighborhood of the far-field state. We also obtain estimates of the algebraic decay rates toward the far-field state.
This is joint work with Professor Akitaka Matsumura, Professor Emeritus at Osaka University.
